Palau Diving

Monday, February 1st, 2010

Gar and Reflection in Palau Palau has to be one of the best diving destinations in the world. Not only are the islands beautiful, there are some simply amazing, out of this world dives. One dive called Blue Holes is an underwater cavern with four holes in the top of the cavern and other holes on the reef wall. The overall effect is that light penetrates the cavern creating a cathedral like atmosphere that illuminates parts of the cavern giving the diver a feeling of floating in an enormous space.

From Blue Holes, it is possible to get to the world famous Blue Corner where you can hook on to the reef while sharks and other predators cruise on the current all around you and sometimes barracuda can be seen circling overhead. To be able to combine what are some of the best dives in the world in a single dive, makes this dive one my favorites in Palau.
