Africa is a great place for photography.
If you are reasonably careful I don't think it is as dangerous as you might think, though it is exciting.

Africa has certainly made a big impression on me. Since visiting I would say I think about Africa most days, I think about how wonderful these creatures are and how well designed by evolution they are for their environment. I was also surprised how complex and intelligent some of them are. I think about our human origins and perhaps our hardwired memories of that time. I worry about the reduction in habitat and the pressures on these wild animals and whether they will survive in the wild in the long term. I feel sadness and anger when I hear of animals being killed to service the trade in animal products.

Anyone interested in the world or travel, should if able, visit Africa at least once, it will change the way you think about things. If you cannot visit Africa in person then I hope my images can convey some of the wonder of this place. It is good just knowing that these wild places still exist.
